Polymarket copy-trading bots — honest guide (2026)
Copy-trading bots promise to mirror “profitable wallets.” On a transparent book, that is possible — and also how crowded trades become expensive. This is an operator take, not a logo ranking.
Part of the Polymarket trading bots handbook.
What copy bots actually do
- Watch a leader wallet (activity API / WebSocket)
- Scale size into your account
- Submit orders on your path — if the tool supports that path
They do not invent edge. They replicate someone else’s fills — often worse fills after the crowd piles in.
When copy trading can make sense
- You already know why the leader wins (niche, speed, information)
- You can set max size, max loss, and a kill switch — risk controls
- You passed custody and residency checks — diligence
When it is theater
- “Top wallet” lists without survivorship context
- Keys you cannot revoke
- No paper mode; no fee model dated to 2026
- Ignoring US vs International
Security first
Many “free copy bots” on GitHub are malware. Read GitHub / npm risks before you clone anything that asks for a private key.
Where Bot for Polymarket fits
We are not selling a Telegram sniper. Bot for Polymarket is a hosted builder with paper mode first. If your edge is a strategy you can express as rules + risk limits, join the waitlist. If your edge is “follow wallet X,” diligence the tool harder than the leaderboard.
